I feel that the chinese symbol of Yin and Yang represents what we might hope to achieve in our intimate relationships. The symbol suggests opposite forces complementing each other; energies that appear interelated and dependent on each other.
As a Psychodynamic Counsellor I believe the choices we make in our relationships are influenced by early experiences with parents and caregivers. When problems arise in our relationships as adults, what are the real feelings and needs not being recognised or met?
